One of the best first courses is the online one with Norwood English. I did mine iwth them and they got me my first job [in South Korea, begin in five weeks!] before I finished the course.
It's also very cheap! The are a collective of teachers.

I don't work for them or anythiung but I was delighted with what I got for the money. The Grammar for Teahcers course was also great.

Sounds like a neat program to get you started. That's basically what I'm trying to do right now. Do they have any programs that teach you how to get into a Russian based program? I know English and Russian and I've been wanting to teach an ESL class for quite some time. Unfortunately, I've only see classes for Singapore, Taiwan and China.
