Post Can someone help me translate a personal letter from English to Spanish?
I have been dating a man from Honduras for the past 3 years and we are ending our relationship. There is so much I need to tell him and I feel like I need to do it in Spanish since his English is not very good and my Spanish is almost non-existent. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it so much.

If you want me to help, you can email me the letter and I'll translate it. Spanish is my first language and I can read and write it very well : )

Have you been speaking to him in English for the past three years? It seems silly to try to speak to him in spanish now. Maybe had you learned before you wouldn't be breaking up to begin with. I don't mean to sound rude but if you say that your Spanish is nonexistent (and he knows this) then he will know that you obviously got help from somewhere and would know that someone had to help you write this letter about breaking up with him. I think it would belittle him and make him feel stupid or ignorant, not that you are being kind by helping him understand.
