I want to move to Hong Kong asap to be with my boyf who's moving there tomorrow to do an 8 mth job contract. i don't have a degree and i only speak English. I've thought about TEFL but is it always essential to have a degree. I have teaching experience as I'm a Youth Worker who works in the community teaching health education. My only other work experience is in sales. I definately want a job set up before I go and don't have any savings.

if i was you i would stay put in uk, at the end of the day 8mnths is gonna fly by. and it will be hard when you return to uk to get a job again and most likely somewhere to live, unless of course you own your home and are intending to let it out short term while you are away, or you live with parents.
you can keep in contact with your guy easily on the internet these days, with things like msn, so you can chat daily with him.
stay here and keep the home fires burning, i would.
