 Difficult vocab
Hi All, I'm new here and I'm sure I'll be using this forum a great deal in the near and distant future. I'm starting a TESOL course in Jan and working through an assignment raising my awareness of grammar etc...
I'm a bit stuck on one particular question relating roughly to lexical awareness.
"Factors such as (in)formality, countabilty and multiple meanings may influence the difficulty of learning a new vocabulary item. What problems might you anticipate with the following words?
1) Radio 2) Astonished 3) Pecuniary
Can anyone give me a hand? I've tried researching all three but haven't got anywhere.
Many thanks,
Vicky
