Do you know of any good websites for lesson plans on Shakespeare?
As of right now, I'm starting Romeo & Juliet.
I've been looking on the Internet myself, but it seems that I can't resources that I like. I'll end up making worksheets and things for myself, but I'd like to look at some ideas first.
Also, if you know of any good sites for teaching (especially for English/Language Arts), please leave a link on here.
I'm a student teacher and I'm not familiar with a lot of good resources and sites that are available on the net. I've searched and found things, but I know there are more that I'm just not finding.
Thanks!

Have you tried www.clicknotes.com/romeo/
FolgerLessonPlans.html?
Your state's education department's website may also help in the future with lesson ideas.

PBS has lots of great stuff. There are video clips and detailed lesson plans at this site.

A great resource has been the NCTE website. http://www.ncte.org/ If the majority of your teaching will be in ELA, it might be worth it to get a membership. Although I teach all subjects in a 6th grade, self-contained gifted classroom, I'm always finding good ideas and the latest research.
Here's another site:

If you are teaching R&J as a unit, consider purchasing or downloading a premade unit. I do this with most of my literature. This is great for outlining your unit. Many times, I'll take the given materials and tweak them just a bit to suit my needs. Doing a search on Amazon will yield many results:
* Literature Guide: Romeo and Juliet (Paperback)
by Kristen Bowers
* A Guide for Using Romeo and Juliet in the Classroom (Paperback)
by Mari Lu Robbins
* Romeo and Juliet : A Unit Plan (Litplans on CD) (CD-ROM)
by Mary B. Collins
* Ready-To-Use Activities for Teaching Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare Teacher's Activity Library) (Paperback)
by John Wilson Swope
* Shakespeare Set Free: Teaching Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth & A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Folger Library) (Paperback)
by William Shakespeare (Author), Peggy O'Brien (Editor)
These books end up being treasures! Save your receipts as once you begin teaching, you can deduct this from your taxes. ($250 - teaching supplies). I'm wondering since you are doing student teaching if this could be deducted as an educational expense (you need this for student teaching).
I hope I've given you some ideas.
