Post Easiest English language music to sugest to a Japanese man learning English?
Hey kids! It's like this. I am teaching English in Japan at the moment. A student in my class says that he has trouble listening and understanding English. I suggested he watch some English movies or maybe listen to some music in English that does not use much slang and is clear.
He said that he does not care for English movies so its music.
Can you help me suggest some music in English that is easy to understand, clear, does not use much slang, does not have a thick accent ( he wants to learn American English )?

The only suggestion I have so far is The Beatles. The Beatles, while a British band, does not carry a thick UK accent, nor is it too "kiddie", and is enjoyable to listen to.

What would you suggest that I should suggest to this man?

Thank you for your time.
