HELP with to be verb replacement?
I have to write a paper for school. I do not understand how to rephrase this paragraph in my paper:
In Britian they are called the noble genration. In Russia these people are the heroes of the great patriotic war and in America they are the greatest generation.
I need to get rid of the 'to be' verbs, but do not know how. Pleasse help me!

Re: HELP with to be verb replacement?
Great Britain refers to them as "the noble generation," Russia calls them "the heroes of the great patriotic war," and America knows them as "the greatest generation."
Does that help?

Re: HELP with to be verb replacement?
It is a good sentence as it is! But to get rid of the "to be" verbs, in this case, the word "are," try:
In Britain, people call them the noble generation. In Russia, people regard them as the heroes of the great patriotic war. In America, many view them as the greatest generation.
It may be better to put quotation marks around the descriptions, as "noble generation."
