How can I help my first graders to understand the parts of speech?
I'm looking for fun, interactive ideas to help them to learn all the parts of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, preposition, interjection, article, etc.). I really would like them to know them ALL by the time they leave for second grade and they're doing really well BUT I would like to make it really sink in for them. Any ideas??

Just verb to the nouns. Works every time.

you can turn it into a game or give it a cool saying that they will find amusing

I am in 7th grade now and when i was younger my teacher put these footprints on the wall made out of construction paper and wrote different words on them and we had to say the part of speech. And then you see who can make it around the room and you could only make 1 mistake and then youd have to start over.
