Re: how can i improve my english through films movie?
yes, by watching movies, you're a step closer to the everyday English people use... practical English... but take NOTE: you're learning it and you're studying it... So take these things in mind:
watching it at one setting and trying to understand it 100% at the same time could be really absurd... Obviously English is not your second language... English is a Foreign language to you... So, take what your brain can accept... (no offense) when it(your brain) gets tired and dizzy... and you get brain crams, headache... REST, rest, REST, rest, and REST.... really it's so important... We only have one brain... it's not like the kidney... that we can have kidney transplant... it's not like the heart, heart transplant... So far, i haven't heard of brain transplant.
ANYWAYS, here it is:
try watching it without subtitle first... the WHOLE MOVIE... if it's really difficult and you get stressed... then do it SCENE by SCENE... (an option) make notes as you watch, if you can keep your concentration while jotting down notes.
second, (a) watch again and make notes (i.e that is if you wanted to totally watch first... purely watching.. then on the 2nd time... you watch it again and jot notes at the same time)
third, verify your notes... if it's correct or not
fourth... make sense of what you have learned by connecting the meaning of each from scene to scene and to the whole plot of the movie...
for idioms, and everyday slang... reflect on your experience and how you can internalize its meaning...
for the pace of how Americans speak... you need to have a backround about how they combine words... try: American Accent Training by Ann Cook...
DO it at your OWN PACE... never STRESS your brain...

Get movies with subtitles. Also, rewind when you want.

Get movies for children. They don't use slang or swearing and their sentences are short and easier to understand. Later you can move on to movies aimed at older people. Everything takes its time and learning and understanding languages is no exception.

remember that American is not the same as English, many different words and more so pronunciations are used. Decide first between American and English.
I found that the best way to learn language from film is to watch it with subtitles, first in your mother language and when your skill has improved enough then watch it (or them) with the English subtitles. Most DVD's give you a choice of subtitles.
Good luck
