Spoken Cantonese is very easy to learn. Like tagalog, Cantonese does not have tenses , this will make learning the language much easier. If you stay in Macau where most people speak Cantonese, you'll be able to learn it even without much effort from you. If you put in some effort, you'll be able to at least speak passable conversational Cantonese in a short time. I think if i were to stay in Philippine for a few months, I would be able to learn Tagalog fast too.

Yes, you can learn Cantonese fast in Macau by interacting with the local Macanese. But its a better bet if you cross the harbor to Hong Kong to actually learn and practice it cause more Hong Konger can speak both English and Cantonese better than their Macanese counterpart.
