I'm Chinese, and I've decided to learn Cantonese.
My grandma is teaching me, but mostly everything I learn, I forget the next day!! For the people who learned Cantonese very well, How did you all remember how to write and speak?

To remember these things, you should write down all you've learned, first of all! Write down the phrases or whatever, and then write the translation next to it. Then study them for a few hours.
Also, you could listen to Cantonese songs, too. I think that's the easiest way to remember it. Ask her to talk to you constantly in Cantonese. Watch Cantonese dramas. These are fun ways to remember. (:
You could also ask your Cantonese friends to have conversations with you in Cantonese instead of English or Taiwanese or Mandarin or whatever you speak in. (:
