How do I learn Cantonese if I know Mandarin?
Is there a website or resource available to learn one from the other? Does Cantonese have its own set of transliterations?

Hello,
There is only a website for introductions to Cantonese or any language for that matter.
If you are really interested try Pimsleur Cantonese, its great its like recorded conversations and it comes in three levels. Rosetta Stones is also good as well. I would recommend you checking in the librray first, because it is expensive.
Teach yourself Cantonese
Colloquial Cantonese
Berlitz Cantonese
Lonely planet Cantonese
these are some books that might be helpful to you

get yourself a cantonese friend
knowing mandarin doesn't help you a whole lot if you want to learn cantonese ... Cantonese is a lot more difficult, and going through the pronounciation, you need a native cantonese person. Neither computer software nor books help :-) trust me, I speak cantonese... you will learn some strange tougue if you abride by the computer/ book

Enroll in a class.
Remember that even though you will know the charcters from Mandarin, and they will mean the same thing, Cantonese has different pronucations. Because of that, you could say that Cantonese has its own set of transliterations.
I dont know of any websites for learning Cantonese, but I know a lot of websites for learning Mandarin. Good luck with it. My self, I dont have any desire to learn Cantonese (I feel that Mandarin is good enough for me)
