I have my B.A. (cum laude) in linguistics and teaching certificate. I have sent my resume to every lead in the Japan Update. I've even started applying for desk jobs and bartending gigs through MCCS. But...nada. I've been here 2 months and I'm starting to feel a little hopeless about finding even part-time employment. Any advice? Success stories? Horror stories?
I'm just sad that I spent $15K on an education that can't even get me 20 hours a week at Burger King. We don't especially need the money, but I definitely need to get out of the house and feel productive. I already plan on volunteering, but I'd like to do more than that. Any help?
