I am an English teacher on a childcare leave who would love to tutor in the Westchester, NY area. I am certified 7 -12 grade. I just don't know how to get it going. I've tried flyers in supermarkets and the library, but noone seems to be interested. Are there any reputable online tutoring agencies? I've also heard of tutoring agencies that hire teachers. Any knowledgeable suggestions?

post flyers at the schools. you need to go where people NEED you. they aren't thinking about it qat the grocery store. they will mroe likely think about ti at a school though. and don't just do one school. try several schools. mention your certifications.
