I need a help in translation a cake recipe into English, please?
I bought a German cake book, which looks great, but unfortunatly I don't know how to translate some of the texts in English, could anyone please help in my translation, or at least recommend a site for translation cooking articles or text into English? Thank you

For little translations I use http://www.freetranslation.com/
It's like all, of course, without much grammatical sense, but if you know what it's basically about, it shouldn't be much of a problem to get it right.

Re: I need a help in translation a cake recipe into English, please?
There's a problem with just translating the words. most German receipes call for the weight of the ingredients, not a dry measure (for example, 300 grams of flour instead of 1 cup) there are rough equivalents available (try german.about.com and play aroundthey have almost everything!), but you'll have to experiment with the recipe to make it work, as the proportions in cake recipes are more important than those in, say, stews or soups, where you don't have to worry about it rising.
You also may come up with ingredients that are hard to get here, such as vanilla-sugar, but there are work arounds.
