Pulled from a google search of "Learn cantonese":

I started learning Cantonese with "Teach Yourself Cantonese" which I found quite useful. It covers the basics of tone pronounciation, grammar and building vocabulary and simple conversations. The recorded conversations are a must to get the right tones....and there are many tones in Cantonese!

However, if you are serious in learning the language, I can highly recommend the Pimsleur series. Although I have not tried the Cantonese version, I was impressed by the French version and my brother mastered Mandarin with Pimsleur. Search on Amazon or ebay.

Also, rent out Cantonese films from your local DVD shop to watch. You may not pick out much at first but you will have an understanding of how Cantonese should sound.
