Hello people. I always wnated to be a high school english teacher, but now i am thinking that i might want to teach ESL(English as a second language). So i was wondering, if i go to college and study to become an English teacher, but then change my mind and choose to teach ESL, can i do that? will i have to take any additional classes?

if you do that you need to take many foreign languages and maybe even minor in ESL.

You will have to take additional courses to teach ESLcheck with your local colleges about their ESL add-on programs-most programs will allow you to major in English and with a ESL add-on
