Manchester has a large cantonese community - I am sure you can find someone willing to teach you if you can't find anything more formal in Stockport.

A chinese takeaway? Maybe someone there will do it for a bit of cash. Otherwise adult education centres sometimes have courses.

have a look in the local yellow pages for language schools, alternatively there will probably be courses ran at your local community college.
