 Home Country Teaching
Just back from a stint teaching in N.Asia and S.E.Asia. Stuck for work here, so am thinking about teaching ESL in my home country.
Thing is 1. all students are of different nationalities (previously i have taught classes all of the same nationality, 2. alot of the students are refugees.
want to know if any of the above changed the classroom dynamics at all, and anything i need to look out for.
Cheers,
Jiggus

And what is your home country you are teaching in?
Teaching mixed classes as opposed to students of the same background can be great, as there are so different cultures, traditions and experiences to draw upon in the classroom.
As for teaching refugees, i guess i would just be catious teaching any subjects about war or anything related. Again though i assume that it would provide some fasinating material to draw upon and to use in your teaching!
