can you identify the adverb in these sentences? I NEED HELP Please!!?
Thank you! Here they are:
1. To begin wwith, you should never move when you are taking pictures.
what verb does that adverb modify?
2. The coach said we were too careless during the play.
What adjective does that adverb modify?
And for these 2, I found one of the adverbs, but you have to pick an adverb that modifies another adverb:
1. So very few California condors exist today that they are rarely seen outside of captivity. (is one of the today and the other rarely?)
2. Andean condors are slightly more numerous and moe of them can still be seen in the wild. (one of the is slightly, but what does it modify?)
Thank you sooooooooo much!!!

Re: can you identify the adverb in these sentences? I NEED HELP Please!!?
Remember that adverbs modify verbs (action words), adjectives (describing words), or other adverbs, right?
Therefore....
1. "never" is the adverb that modifies the verb "move"
(When should you move? Never, says the adverb.)
2. "too" is the adverb that modifies the adjective "careless." (How careless were we? Too careless, says the adverb.)
For the second set, if your task is to pick adverbs that are modifying other adverbs, I'd go with "so" in #1 and "slightly" in #2.
1. The word "so" modifies the adverb "very." "Very" modifies the adjective "few" and "rarely" modifies "seen."
2. The word "slightly" modifies the word "more," which is being used as an adverb here, modifying the word "numerous." (How numerous? "more" numerous.)
Ain't grammar fun?

Re: can you identify the adverb in these sentences? I NEED HELP Please!!?
1. the adverb would be never because normally negative words are adverbs like no or not or never and it interrupts the verb should move
2. too is the adverb because it interrupts the verb were careless
*tip: it might help if you underline the subject, double underline the verb and circle the adverb so you eliminate some words and also clear up the space
1. rarely is the adverb and today would be a D.O. it answers the question when
2. slightly is the adverb and it would modify are more numerous; but i can't remember what still would be it seems kinda suspicious
hope i was of help

1. Never=Adverb, Verb it modifies= Should Move.
2. Too=Adverb, careless=Adjective
1. Yes, Today and Rarely are, So is an Adverb to.
2. Slightly modifies more, Thats the only Adverb.
