When I teach regular courses (literature), I always make a game out of flash cards. I split my classroom up into teams and they buzz in (usually with a cow bell) the answer. It's really a lot of fun and both parties learn from one another. The winning team gets a small prize and the losing team still gets a small consolation.

The game I play with my students is called 'Who am I'. I get my students to write down their favourite animals (or people) on a piece of paper. I then take their papers and tape them to their backs. I get them to go around the classroom and ask questions to their classmates to try and guess which animal they are or who they are.

It's a fun and simple game and it gets students practicing interrogatives and English in general.
