I have to create a lesson plan as a sample for an interview. Since we are not near any major holidays, I thought I might do something relatively easy and plan it around Independence Day. I know I can buy a flag, have some things in red, white and blue, etc.

I might show some picutres of the Founding Fathers as well as a map of the US at the time of the Revolution. It was suggested to have a game or activity, but I don't know what sort of thing could be done, other than making their own interpretation of the American flag with construction paper.

This lesson would be aimed toward pre-school to high school aged children with beginner to advanced level of English.
