 Teaching abroad (especificaly in Spain)?
I'm currently an American college student and would like to teach someday... abroad. I am studying English and Spanish and just finished my sophomore year of school. Furthermore, I am a certified ESL and Adult Basic Literacy tutor. In addition to that, I am almost finished with my semester-long of internship in an American radio station (specifically in the state of New Jersey) for Promotions and Public Relations. I am also a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
I have always dreamt of teaching abroad, and at the same time, discover something about myself. Spain and Brazil are two of my main target to teach at. What else should I do to achieve this goal? I know that my experiences aren't enough, but I am working up on it.
Thank you. Sorry about the typo. I posted the same question on a different category an I put "especially." I got confused and probably was thinking of something else when I typed the word. What I meant to write here is "sepcifically." I apologize. "specifically."

Especificaly - lol Half Spanish, half English!!! I love it!
Hey, getting a work permit for Spain, especificaly, and, I'm pretty sure, most of Europe, is getting harder and harder, especially for Americans, as we are not EU. Jobs go to the EU people first.
That said: what IS available, you ought to be able to find here:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-hptb6&p=work%20in%20Spain&type=
Start with CIEE. I know them, and they are reputable, and will make suer things are set up well.
Any of those companies, if they are worth going with, will make sure, before you leave, that you have a placement and visa, and will help you locate suitable lodging.

The first thing you must do is get a passport...and then, while you're doing that, you should contact both the U.S. State Department and the Consulates for both Spain and Brazil and explain to them what you would like to do...then, follow their recommendations to the "T"...that should give you the basis to start looking for positions in those locations...
