Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I really want to teach English as a foreign language, I have GCSE's and A levels but I didn't go to university as I went travelling and then when I returned I went straight in to full time employment.

I really want to change my career to Teaching English abroad, but I just want to know if there is any point in me completing a TEFL/TESOL course if I do not have a university degree????

I've noticed that alot of places specify that you have to have one. Is that a spec of the job requirements or a spec of the immigration departments?

Will I be able to find work with a TEFL qualification but no degree??

I've contacted numerous tefl course providers but obviously their advice is to do the course anyway... I just want an honest unbiased opinion....

Please help

Really depends on wher you are planning to teach. Different countries have different requirements, with some countries requiring at least a tertiary degree. Other countries you can find a job with no qualifications, or a TEFL short course.

What country are you planning on teaching in?
