 TESOL?? please help!
I have decided to attend a Cal State after transferring from a community colleges. I have met with a counselor but I am still confused..
my goal is to become an ESL teacher/ foreign language teacher for high school or above
and I want to minor in Japanese
my problems:
1. heard Cal State LA -which i had planned on going to- has a teaching program, but going there is not recommend.
2. What exactly is my MAJOR?? is it English? liberal studies?
the counselor told me to minor first in Rehabilitation Studies (offered at Cal State LA) and then move up to my Masters with TESOL....is that how it works????
i am really confused about this
I don't understand how this works
please help
also I looked up all the Cal States ...
(the ratings made me feel like they are not really worth going to, but I can't afford anything else)
...but Fullerton seems like a good choice
what do you think??

 Re: TESOL?? please help!
I would take a major in Japanese and then do the masters in English or TESOL. Why would you do rehabilitation studies? Sounds like she is trying to pull you into a under-enrolled program.
