Hi :-) I am studying speech therapy in college right now and I have observed speech therapy sessions with people that have proper pronunciation problems also. The advice I would give you is possibly finding a speech therapist that could help you out or if that isn't possible, practising speech sounds of the words you find in your English dictionary's. The more repetition you do, the more it will become like second nature to you! I wish you the best...

I don't know what resources you have in Mexico but you have to find a way to listen to English speakers. Three quick ideas:
1. You can access English language media on the web for sure.
2. I improved my Spanish by joining a Spanish club in the U.S. Perhaps you can find or form a similar English club there.
3. If you can find a English speaking pen pal, you can use Skype to talk with him or her for free over the internet.
Espero que te he ayudado. íBuena Suerte!

Everyone is making excellent suggestions...I would recommend you locate someone locally who speaks English and ask them if you can spend some time with them...only speaking English. The more practice you get the better you should get...

first of all, don't believe them. they cannot tell you that you have bad pronunciation. what matters most is your grammar. there are many people who are fluent in English but have terrible grammar. as long as your coherence and grammar in the language is correct, there is no need to be shy.
however, since you are a Mexican, you find the language to be difficult to speak since you will have to make a lot of adjustments. considering the fact that your native language is much different from that of english. but as i was reading the paragraph in your question, i found out that you are even better than some americans or englishmen. how much more if you are going to communicate with others verbally?
for your tips, i think the easiest way is to watch english television programs and read english journals and magazines. when i was a kid, i had been only speaking in Filipino and my native dialect. but because of the influence of the television and the printed media, i learned to speak English very quickly. Now that i am already twenty-five years old, I owe my speaking skills to both media.
to improve your vocabulary, you need to have a dictionary at home and converse with English speakers. in this way, you will be able to extend your knowledge and improve your communication skills.

Just practice. Maybe you'd like to download some ESL podcasts off of iTunes, or have an English pen pal. Also, listen to accents (maybe American for you because you live in the Americas). Good luck, and I hope you can learn English perfectly!
Solamente practica. Quizas te gustaria obtener algunos podcasts de iTunes, o tener un "pen pal" (alguien que se envia cartas o mensajes). Tambien, te recomiendo que escuches los accentos (espero que esta palabra sea correcta!). Porque vives en los Americas, te recomiendo que escuches los accentos de los Estados Unidos. Buena suerte, y espero que aprendas ingles perfectamentet!

you have to watch american movies twice, with the subtitles and then without. if you moved from mexico, i will recommend completely inmerse in english and forget to listen and speak in spanish for at least three months, if you get a chance.
