 wants to work in korea?
I am a filipina and i teach english for 2 years.
I'll go back to philippines soon but i want to work here again. Is there any direct hiring jobs for english teacher in south korea? i can speak a little korean.

well, the philippines isnt considered a 'native' english speaking country like the us,canada, the uk, australia, new zealand and south africa.
unless u are married to a korean, u can work legally as a teacher but most likely will not get the pay as a western foreign teacher.
apparently ive read that 26,000 visas were approved to bring in filipino teachers from the PI to korea to teach. this might be to aid in the shortage of foreign teachers in korea as well as the fact that many koreans go tothe philippines to learn english.

In order to teach English in Korea you have to be a native citizen of an English speaking country. Since going through the process, this is what I've come to find.

You speak Korean language? over 90% korean don't understand English.
