He keeps on laughing and does some strange actions and negative ideas. He is an ESL Teacher, andi have noticed that he just laughs even if nothing is funny by himself. Sometimes the students wonder why their teacher just laughs a lot. Then he is paranoid about many things like asking me for several times if i got some information about him and that someone tells something bad about him.
Actually he seems so smart, but things get weird and so he is.
What should we do, knowing that all his physical exams result are negative. He isnt using drugs now, but he can't focus in his class, he diverts his talks and he discusses things that are irrelevant to his class. I lready sensed somethnig wrong with him from day one while he was still applying kept on calling and asking same questions. I told our head a bit of what ive noticed but they tried to give him a chance coz he comes from a prestigious school and has a great experience. What should we do? He tends to say something violent already.

Maybe hes mental from all of his drugs that he used before. Fire him before he influences the other kids.

Where are you? Teachers in the U.S. are carefully investigated and an ex-drug addict is never hired. Sounds like he fried his brain when on drugs. Don't wait until he acts violent, instead of just saying something violent....tell someone in authority...and, do it now.

It sounds like he was ''self-medicating'' a mental illness . You need to be more forceful with the school, keep a record of every strange occurance and pressure them into getting this guy out of there before something bad happens, especially since his speech has already become violent. Please be careful!

honestly, it sounds as if he is an alcoholic, or he is suffering from the beginning stages of schizophrenia. I would recommend looking on the internet for schizo symptoms and see if his behavior fits. i know its sounds ridiculous, but it fits with what youve told me

well it sounds like he's a bad teacher on drugs or not. fire him for being a bad teacher. maybe he's mentally ill.
