Post What are some tips in teaching english to a non-native person?
There's this new girl that arrived in australia only 1 month ago and she wants to learn english. What strategies can I use to effectively help her speak good english?

From the way my teacher taught me to speak German language. A strategic way is to just speak English with her. If she doesn't understand, use gestures to explain. Example if she doesn't know what a cup is, show her a cup and say it. DO NOT TRANSLATE FOR HER AT ALL. She must learn words everyday. the grammar part comes later when she can understand simple English... =)
