What do you recommend for learning Japanese fast?
I've been practicing for a couple of months, but I've only learn some phrases. I have like 3 books and listen to Japanese Pod 101, but I want something more complete, fun and easy. Thanks in advance!!!

I have used the Rossetta Stone for Spanish 1 and learned it SUPER fast. I know it is kinda expensive but it is def. worth it if you want to learn quickly, FUN, and well. The way it is set up is super easy to use.

Watch a lot of anime or Japanese movies with subtitles. Not only will it be entertaining, but you can get the feel of the pronounciation and stuff.

View the movie, "Shall we Dance" the original in japanese. It was far better than the hollywood version which was a dud.
Shall We Dance is subtitled in english. A great story and a great learning tool.

Re: What do you recommend for learning Japanese fast?
The best way is to go to Japan for a year or so... If you are exposed to nothing bu thte language and culture than your in there. I was there when I got stationed there and a lot of americans go there to teach english, if you get in a program like that you can go to Osaka for a year to teach english and you can learn the language while your there. And no you don't have to speak japanese to teach english in japan... (who would figure).

Let me know if you try it and what you think of it. oh and the clubs in osaka are amazing.. I cant wait to go back.

I've heard great things about Rosetta Stone....apparently it's super fast, but also sorta pricey....but i've been told it's the best way to learn a language
