2. Buy something like Rosetta Stone to work with at home.

4. If you can work, work at a place like Target, Wal-Mart, or Mervyn's.
6. Watch cartoons and soap operas in English.
7. Watch movies in Engish with English subtitles a few times. Then try to remove the subtitles.
8. Talk to people at grocery stores, gas stations, and department stores.
9. Read the newspaper in English EVERY DAY.
10. Finally, if you can, meet as many people as possible who speak English and hang out with them as much as possible.

All three have bonuses. the news gives you words that you wouldnt hear in casual conversation, english movies give alot of common sayings and things like that and reading helps you learn to read english obviously, and makes you learn the correct grammar.
