What is the correct grammar for this sentence?
The teacher's role, therefore, is not to simply lecture, but to instruct, model, and listen; to help guide the students, who are the ones who will experience growth.
Is this a proper sentence? Is the semi-colon used right?

Re: What is the correct grammar for this sentence?
NO!! A SEMICOLON IS USED IN PLACE OF ", and"
This is is a more grammatically correct sentence:
The teacher's role, therefore, is not to simply lecture, but to instrct, model, listem, and help guide the students...(I'm not entirely sure how to correct the last portion of the sentence).

The semicolon was not used correctly.
Another alternative:
The teacher's role, therefore, is not to simply lecture, but to instruct, model, and listen, in order to help guide the students, who are the ones who will experience growth.

Re: What is the correct grammar for this sentence?
don't split your infinitive , and the semicolon is incorrect.
correct options:
The teacher's role, therefore, is not simply to lecture, but to instruct, model, listen, and help guide the students, who are the ones who will experience growth.
(this is correct but sounds a bit awkward)
i would write:
The teacher's role, therefore, is not simply to lecture; he or she must instruct, model for, listen to, and guide the students, who then will experience growth.

yes for the first question but the semi colon is used in a compound sentence (two sentences in one) not a compound verb which is what your sentence has

Re: What is the correct grammar for this sentence?
The teacher's role is not to simply lecture but to instruct, model, listen, and help guide the students as they grow.
Remove all the superfluous words and stick to the simplest sentence that conveys your meaning. Otherwise you are wasting someone's time reading your writing making it an annoying experience. Avoid all punctuation possible else you risk sentences that don't make sense or are hard to read.

Re: What is the correct grammar for this sentence?
Yes, the semicolon is used correctly here, but modern usage would discourage its use in this case. I would rewrite the sentence with an ellipsis, as follows, instead:
"The teacher's role, therefore, is not to simply lecture, but to instruct, model, and listen... to help guide the students, who are the ones who will experience growth."
also, you could break the last phrase into two sentences, as in:
"The teacher's role, therefore, is not to simply lecture, but to instruct, model, and listen... to help guide the students. They are the ones who will experience growth."
