What topics are English-learning Chinese students interested in?
I'm an American (teenager) visiting China and have to give an approximately 10-minute powerpoint presentation (in English) on a certain topic of American culture to some junior high school-aged students that want to learn English.
Which topics would be more interesting or easier for me to make a presentation on: Music, school, food, movies, etc...
The topic should be something that wouldn't bore them to death but would also give some kind of insight into American culture.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and advice as to what I should include in the presentation would be very helpful as well.
Thanks in advance!!

Chinese students at that age love to hear about American schools........what you study, the number of classes a day, the time that you spend in class, the number of days a week in class, and how much homework that you have.
10 minutes? I do this for hour very easily!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then what you do in your spare time every night?
You are in China? Yes? Then you know that their life is very different than yours.........Chinese kids love to here about American schools! They literally don't believe the differences!
Tell them what time you normally get up, arrive at school, what classes, how many, how long for lunch, when you go home, etc. They are amazed with this! No Saturday classes? No classes on Sunday to make up for a holiday?
Very easy presentation! They will not be bored at all, they listen to every word you say!
I have taught in China for 3 years and this is always my first class subject! They just can't believe it and listen to every word!

tell them you can play sports everyday, you can use a calculator in school, you can get a driver's license at age of 16, you can have a girlfriend at the age of 10, you get out of school at 3pm...

Do "dating culture", that won't bore them for sure.
Teaching methods can also be interesting.
Or just daily life, which is already radically different from theirs.
I doubt they would understand music.
Food is a tricky one, how would you do it not to bring up the stereotype that USAians eat McDonalds 7 times a week.
If they are the same age as you, presume that they have a mental stage 5 years younger then you.

education and lifestyle are two main topics which are interesting for any school children...
they are certainly curious about the way Americans study and relax... especially some famous places to visit...
and future career opportunities as well ;)
