Why is that people in america are not very good in their grammar and spelling especially those born
At least , people that is in america but not really born here, they are really trying so that's a good excuse, but those that are born here and educated here - they are supposed to have a huge databank of good spelled words and good grammar usage in their head. You can tell if a person speaking or writing is not an american by heart - but legally staying here - can you speak their language with no error if you go to their country?

Honestly, I think that schools do not teach us grammar enough. I also think that the spelling part can be any ones fault. Many people say that if you read a lot, then your grammar and spelling should be good. I beg to differ on that comment, because I always read and I am horrible at both of those subjects.
I am in high school and we do grammar packets to prepare for the ACT's and SAT's, and when we do the packets, many students have never actually done that particular step of the grammar. When I think about it, we learned it in around the third grade, but never really learned it after that.
I also beg to differ on your comment about immigrants trying to learn it. Yes, many of them do. I will add my mom for example, she goes to school and with her 4 kids, we always try to help her out the best that we can. I grew up in an area where the school was more then 1/2 immigrants, and you could separate the people who tried versus who could have cared less. Many of those people just showed the pride they had from their country, put little effort in learning English, and showed no effort in the spelling, grammar and reading portion of school. It may have been different where you grew up, but that was just the way it was where I grew up.
I repeat I am NOT saying, that all immigrants do not try.

I find it ironic that you ask a question about spelling and grammar, but write grammatically incorrect sentences yourself. Not one of the three sentences that you have written is grammatically corect.
And what does that question have to about renting or real estate. You've posted it under "Renting & Real Estate."

Ninja, I didn't think your verbage was all the clear either. But here I am to help answer your question if I can.
You'll find in America that there are regions where the people speak a dialect of sorts, for example; people in the South tend to have a twang to their voices, people in the North tend to say Ya a lot. It is what makes our country so unique and interesting. Sure there are a lot of folks on Yahoo answers that do not use good grammar, maybe they didn't have the same opportunities for education that others have had, some are from another countries and speak what we called "broken english", which is unique and sometimes you can even tell what part of the world they come from.
But my point is this, what an opportunity to talk with people from all over the world, to make new friends, learn new things. I don't care where you come from, if you can speak plain english or broken, if I can help you in some way, then I'm a happy camper! lol I am addicted to this site!

I think you will find that good grammar and spelling are not common anywhere. All languages are constantly evolving and that change is driven by the way the language is used in everyday life. The rules of grammar and spelling are not carved in stone, they exist as words in books that are constantly being rewritten.

sshhhh, sweetie, don't generalize. No matter what country you go, the locals will not always have the same level of proficiency in the spoken and written native language. There will always be the experts, the average and the poor - as far as mastery of the language skills is concerned. And this is true everywhere, not just here in the USA.

Were you born and educated in the US? Your question has several grammatical errors.
To answer it though, the US education system tries to include everyone, and doesn't always do the best job.

Read more on US grammar and spelling. The rules change and the US have many words that can be used to describe one thing. This is why the English language is one of the hardest languages to learn. So what appears to not be correct is really correct.

Unfortunately, it seems that there is so much political correctness in the schools, that children are not being taught the basics. Schools teach them how to have sex, but not how to be a responsible adult. Parents are the main ones to blame. Parents don't want to take responsibility for their own children. When I grew up, our parents taught us some of the basics before we went off to school. We were also helped at home once we started school. If education is important to the parents, it will be important to the children in that home. Teachers must do so much paperwork to keep from getting sued, they find much less time to teach their students. It is amazing at how much paperwork or documentation teachers must keep to maintain their positions. Until parents get more involved and stop suing the teachers, there will be little incentive to change and make things better.

Sorry - you must not be from here either. The public school system, where most of the US children go, is horrible, and spelling/reading/writing are not as important to teachers who don't make a lot of money/hate their job. And the parents don't seem to take an interest in their children, so we have generations coming up with low vocab, poor spelling and writing, and even worse english. My parent made sure we got a good education, and taught us at home. The teachers are to blame, but mostly the parents.
